CrimeFest 2017, which took place in Bristol this weekend, saw two of our authors participate on panels across the weekend discussing families in crime, debut novels and war crime.
C.L. Taylor, the No. 2 Sunday Times bestselling author of The Escape and well-seasoned CrimeFest star, took part in a panel called You Are Not Alone: Giving Your Protagonist Family And Friends alongside Louise Beech, Thomas Enger, Gunnar Staalesen and Lucy V. Hay. C.L. Taylor’s novels are some of the best at presenting and investigating complex relationships, so it’s no wonder attendees were quick to get a seat for this fantastic discussion.
Nuala Ellwood, whose debut thriller My Sister’s Bones was published earlier this year sat on two popular panels: Debut Authors: An Infusion Of Fresh Blood and War Crimes: Crime Fiction In A Time Of Strife, making her first CrimeFest experience a very successful one.
First organised in June 2008, CrimeFest has become one of the biggest crime fiction events in Europe, described as among ‘the best crime writing festivals around the world’ by The Guardian.
