International No. 1 bestselling author Caroline Mitchell has hit an incredible one million copies sold across all of her titles.
Caroline is the author of 11 crime thrillers. Her novel, Silent Victim was a No. 1 digital bestseller in the UK, US and Australia, selling 30,000 copies in a month. The novel has sold over 150,000 copies overall. Caroline’s most recent novel, The Secret Child sold 17,000 copies in just over three weeks, and nearly 50,000 copies overall. It was published in March this year. Both books feature her protagonist D. I Amy Winters
The former police detective, who has worked for the CID and specialised in roles dealing with the most vulnerable has received several accolades for her books. Most recently, her novel Truth and Lies was named as among the New York Times bestselling audio fiction for June, but the list of awards and international recognition goes back much further than this.
In 2018, Silent Victim won the Gold Award in the “Psychological Thriller” category at the Readers’ Favourite Book Awards 2018. It was also named by Goodreads as one of the ‘Unputdownable Domestic Suspense Thrillers of 2018’. Her novel Murder Game was shortlisted for a Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Award for ‘Best Police Procedural’. Caroline attended the Thriller Awards in New York, where Witness was shortlisted for the best E-Book Original Novel Award, hosted by ThrillerFest.
Caroline has been interviewed for RTÉ Radio 1 on the Ryan Tubridy Show and on Ireland Am to discuss her novel, Truth and Lies. She sat on a panel alongside Ruth Ware and Mel McGrath at Bloody Scotland, Scotland’s international crime writing festival that took place in September last year.
