Eat Your Heart Out by Kelly deVos snapped up by Razorbill

World English rights to Kelly deVos’ brilliant YA thriller, Eat Your Heart Out have been snapped up by Razorbill.

The book was acquired by Julie Rosenberg at Razorbill for planned publication in 2021.

The novel follows Vivian Ellenshaw, whose life is turned upside down when her Mom marries a PE teacher…

Seventeen-year-old Vivian Ellenshaw has the perfect life. She’s the captain of the girls’ soccer team, a championship mathlete and the owner of an epic collection of sparkly handbags.

She’s also fat and, when her mom marries the school’s PE teacher, Vivian finds herself shipped off to a fancy fat camp. At Christmas.

Vivian knows she doesn’t need to lose weight but she still ends up crammed in a van with her ex-best friend, Allie, a meathead jock who can barely drive and the bougie son of the camp’s owner. Worse, they arrive at Camp Featherlite for Overweight Teens at the start of the worst blizzard in the history of Flagstaff, Arizona.

Before she can even hit the salad bar, Vivian spots something terrible outside in the snow. And a mysterious doctor is pushing a weight loss bar he claims is a miracle cure for obesity.

Before long, the luxurious bungalows are overrun with zombies.

As Vivian and her friends struggle to unravel the camp’s mysteries, they must also fight to make it out of Featherlite alive.

Kelly deVos is from Gilbert, Arizona, where she lives with her high school sweetheart husband, amazing teen daughter and superhero dog, Cocoa. She holds a B.A. in Creative Writing from Arizona State University.
