Gail Honeyman’s Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine (Penguin) starts a new chapter today: its paperback publication in the United States.
On the back of impressive sales (over 300,000 copies) and already optioned by Reese Witherspoon, Eleanor Oliphant‘s arrival in paperback has been eagerly anticipated, with the publishers laying on events to mark its publication.
Gail is at the very beginning of a US tour which takes her down, up and across the entire country to take part in a series of talks, interviews and readings. You can see her tour schedule here. Do join her for one of her events if you can; not only is she an amazing writer, but she is also fascinating when she discusses the themes central to her book.
Another way to celebrate the paperback publication is to join in with Eleanor Oliphant Day, which is taking place throughout the US on Saturday 9th June. Be sure to get involved in social media, and head to your nearest bookstore or library.
As regular readers of our news stories will know, Eleanor Oliphant has taken the world by storm. People have accepted Eleanor into their hearts, and as all the recent awards, chart positions and sales figures show, there are more people than ever eager to meet her.
