C.L. Taylor’s new psychological thriller The Fear (HarperCollins / Avon) is No.6 on the Sunday Times bestseller chart this week after its first full week of sales, having sold close to 10,000 copies in paperback and over 6,000 ebooks.
We are ecstatic that C.L. Taylor has gone straight into the charts again – her four previous thrillers have now sold over a million combined copies in the UK alone and have been translated into over twenty languages as well as being optioned for television.
The Fear tells the story of Lou Wandsworth, who made headlines aged fourteen when she ran away to France with her 31-year-old teacher, Mike Hughes. Now 32, Lou returns to her family home to settle her father’s affairs, only to find that history is repeating itself as Mike has turned his attention to thirteen-year-old Chloe Meadows. Lou decides to take matters into her own hands, but can she bring him to justice without becoming his prey once again?
Upon hearing the news, C.L. Taylor took to Twitter to say: “This is all kinds of wonderful! I can’t thank my readers enough for buying The Fear & making me such a happy author. I don’t take this sort of thing for granted. Thank you team Avon for all your hard work.”
Congratulations Cally on another fantastic achievement.
