The Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV & Film Agency is a leading London Literary Agency based in the heart of Mayfair. Madeleine has a degree in English Language and Literature from the University of St Andrews and started her career at a small independent publisher based in Berlin. Giles is the Managing Director of Madeleine Milburn Ltd.
Since beginning his publishing career at a leading London Literary Agency back in 2006, Giles has been involved in many different aspects of the book trade: as a literary agent’s assistant, a travel writer and now at Madeleine Milburn. He also worked as an English teacher for a number of years, sharing with others his love of literature and passion for writing.

Anna is a literary agent and editor for the agency.
Previously, Anna was an editor at Corvus, the commercial fiction imprint of Atlantic Books, where she acquired and edited mainstream adult fiction across all genres. She has worked within the editorial departments of Headline and Hodder & Stoughton, as well as spending four years working with commercial and not-for-profit brands within the advertising industry.
She has a first-class History degree, and has studied Creative Writing at City University, City Lit, and as part of the Faber Academy’s flagship Writing a Novel course. She also teaches yoga, and has an interest in wellness, meditation and mindfulness.

Alice is the Rights Agent at Madeleine Milburn Ltd and is also growing the children's & YA list at the agency, including illustrators.
She began her career as a bookseller before working at The Agency for three years, where she gained an invaluable insight into the publishing industry. Whilst at The Agency she negotiated multiple UK deals and helped sell rights across the world in titles including A Kestrel For A Knave, the Paddington books and Malorie Blackman's books. Along with books, she has a passion for films and spent some time as a film critic.
Alice edits an online magazine dedicated to Young Adult literature, part of her mission to help people of all ages discover the joys of reading.

Hayley assists Madeleine Milburn with UK, US and Film & TV rights, and works closely with the agency’s clients.
Previously she was Publicity Assistant at ED Public Relations, specialising in promoting bestselling authors and collaborating with publishers. She was shortlisted for the PPC Children’s Book Award last year for her work on the campaign for Jenny Downham’s Unbecoming.
After graduating from Loughborough University with a First Class Honours in English she spent a year interning at five of the top UK literary agencies. She is also a long suffering West Ham fan and season ticket holder.
Ursula is an agency reader and talent scout. Originally from Ireland, she reads a wealth of fiction from literary masterpieces to upmarket crime, thrillers and popular fiction.
Maria is the bookkeeper for the agency. Since qualifying in 1998 she has gained experience working with a variety of businesses in sectors such as publishing, advertising, fashion, restaurants, housing, construction and insurance.
She is also passionate about home renovation and interiors helping out on projects for friends and family wherever possible.
