Weekly Highlights 6th-12th April

C.L. Taylor’s chilling new psychological thriller, Sleep immediately shot into the top ten in the Sunday Times bestseller list less than a week after its publication. It is currently sitting at No. 9.

Samuel Pollen’s The Year I Didn’t Eat was named as one of The Telegraph‘s “best children’s books and YA fiction of 2019 so far”.

C.J. Tudor’s The Chalk Man is a finalist for the ITW Thriller Award for Best First Novel. The winners will be announced at ThrillerFest in New York in July.

L.P. Fergusson’s A Dangerous Act of Kindness has received glowing reviews on her blog tour. One reviewer (Stacy is Reading) said: “I was pulled in from the opening sentence and didn’t come up for air until the concluding paragraph. It is historical fiction at its finest laced with love and courage amidst the backdrop of war.”

Czech rights to Stephanie Wrobel’s The Recovery of Rose Gold have gone to Host.

Spanish and Catalan rights to Jennifer Iacopelli’s Break the Fall have gone to La Galera.

Hebrew rights to C.L. Taylor’s Sleep have gone to Dani Books.

And finally, the Danish cover for Elizabeth Macneal’s The Doll Factory has been revealed and it’s absolutely gorgeous.
