The list was curated to reach specific audiences with different attitudes or approaches to reading, and the selection of Am I Normal Yet? for the 2016 list highlights mental health issues for young people.
World Book Night is run by national charity The Reading Agency who aim to inspire greater numbers of people to read more, encourage them to share their enjoyment of reading with others and celebrate the difference that reading makes to all of our lives.
Holly had a wonderful night at the special gala event held at The British Library, which celebrated Shakespeare’s birthday and the 400th anniversary of his death. Alongside other authors including Matt Haig, Dreda Say Mitchell, S. J. Parris, and Sathnam Sanghera, she participated in a panel chaired by Cathy Rentzenbrink, author of last year’s Sunday Times bestseller The Last Act of Love, discussing her love of reading and her favourite books.
