Weekly Highlights 18th – 24th July

What a fabulous week for publicity. Here are the highlights!

The spooky cover for Will Shindler’s next novel, The Killing Choice (Hodder & Stoughton), has been revealed with this brilliantly creepy animation.

Kate Weston’s hilarious YA novel, Diary of a Confused Feminist (Hodder Children’s), was picked for The Week Magazine’s “Summer Reading for Children”.

It was announced this week that Clare Pooley’s uplifting novel, The Authenticity Project (Penguin Random House / Transworld), has sold an incredible 20,000 copies across all formats.

Miranda Malins wrote a fascinating piece for Timeless Travels, all about the Cromwellian era, in which her debut, The Puritan Princess (Orion), is set. The Puritan Princess has also been on a blog tour this week, and has been receiving some great reviews for its ‘exquisite writing’ and the way it is ‘intricately plotted’. The tour continues next week – info below.

 

 

Daisy Pearce’s psychological thriller, The Silence (Amazon Publishing / Thomas & Mercer), has hit over 1000 reviews on Amazon – an incredible achievement.

We are thrilled to announce that Katie Cottle’s The Blue Giant and Sandhya Prabhat’s beautifully illustrated I Am Brown have been shortlisted for the Teach Early Years Awards 2020. Congratulations to both of them!

The second middle grade novel by Anna Fargher, featuring Pip the plucky mouse, Umbrella Mouse to the Rescue, was published this week by Macmillan Children’s Books.

We are thrilled to announce that Radhika Sanghani’s Thirty Things I Love About Myself has sold to Headline Review.

A gorgeous video for Catherine Emmett’s King of the Swamp has been released and we absolutely love it. This stunning picture book is published next month by Simon & Schuster Children’s.

Our brilliant six mentees for the MM Mentorship program were announced this week in The Bookseller. We’re so excited to begin working with them on their fabulous novels.
